Alpha Particle Detector/Spark Counter

A highly visible instrument for showing the random nature of radiation. Produces very bright sparks when alpha particles are ionised on the circular wire grid. Comes complete with sliding holder for the radiation source and an accurate scale to measure the effects of distance between the source and the grid. Best used with our 5kV Power Supply (IPC-0734-P) and Timer Scaler and Frequency Meter (IPC-3342-T).

We also supply 5kV red and black leads (IPC-0893-P and IPC-0492-P).*

*Required separately would be an alpha radiation source and a BNC Connector (the latter can be obtained by us if required).
